ADHD Evaluations

Why it is important to get an evaluation for ADHD?

The most important benefit of having an evaluation for ADHD is to gain greater understanding of yourself or your child.  Many people learn that certain problems that they thought they would always have to live with are, in fact, treatable. Once you have a diagnosis, or a diagnosis has been excluded for you, you will be able to work with professionals to determine the right, individualized approach for treatment.

At the end of the day, receiving a diagnosis of ADHD, or finding out that you do not have ADHD, is the start of many positive changes in your or your child’s life. It allows you to create a sense of understanding and allows you to take control of your life.

If you believe you or your child may have ADHD and would like to start creating a plan you can email, call or text me.  You can also schedule an initial consult on the “Appointment Page”.

What is ADHD?

ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, is a common neurodevelopmental condition that affects millions of people worldwide. It's characterized by differences in brain function that can lead to challenges with:

  • Attention: Difficulty focusing, staying on task, and easily getting distracted.

  • Hyperactivity: Excessive movement or fidgeting, restlessness, and difficulty sitting still.

  • Impulsivity: Acting without thinking, interrupting others, and making hasty decisions.

While often diagnosed in childhood, ADHD can persist into adulthood and impact various aspects of life.
