“As my husband and I hoped when we reached out to Meg, our son now has what he needs to be the best he can be. We as parents now have the knowledge and support needed to help him be that awesome little guy. He is doing great! He is doing very well in school and is even more of a joy to be around now that we have addressed the ADHD. He seems like a much happier and content child, which makes me overjoyed. Since starting with an OG tutor for Dyslexia, he is also picking up books to read on his own."

"We had a really great experience with Breakwater. My son has been having some school difficulties with keeping up with his peers academically and socially. A friend recommended Meg at Breakwater and she has just been wonderful. Not only did Meg spend a lot of time with me answering all of my questions - she also completed a very thorough analysis of my son's strengths, weaknesses and an action plan to best help him going forward. He really loved working with her and has even asked to go back and visit her! I think that says a lot about Meg's ability to develop a rapport with children, to diagnose them accurately, and to help get them on the path for success. This whole process can be overwhelming for a parent: diagnosis, testing, school advocacy, etc. Meg helped every step of the way and I am relieved we finally know what to do to help my child succeed."

“Our experience at Breakwater was nothing but exceptional. They spent about 4 days testing my tricky child about 3 years ago. I love that they met with my husband and I privately before they met my child, which treats the child with a dignity that few places do. They bent over backwards and pulled in extra help to get the right diagnosis for us. I loved that multiple people from different perspectives and professions worked together to diagnose my child. Everyone (schools, OT, speech therapist) that has seen Meg's 28 page evaluation has been amazed at how thorough it is. We had to leave Charleston 2 years ago and honestly, leaving Breakwater and their expertise was one of the hardest things for me to leave. We now have new folks that help us, but in a pinch, I have reached out to Meg again for help. She responded quickly and was very helpful. I still consider Breakwater to be a valuable resource for us as we continue to seek ways to help our child.”
